Here are some new statistics that emerged not too long ago:

• women over 35 is at an all-time high of 27 million


• 1/3 of women over 40 are now dating younger men. (Younger is defined as 10 or more years younger). It's not what you think -- the stamina or sexual prowess of the younger male. Women like the flexibility and sense of adventure of their more spontaneous, younger companions,

Men have been dating and marrying women 10-15 and even 20 years younger, so we too, should test the waters and see what a younger man can offer. You can have a date or two, see if you have things in common, see his qualities, his maturity (remember, age does not bring maturity) and that I can say from experience....as a lot of older men have too much baggage they've yet not resolved......

Think of those words "right now". Most of us miss out on experiencing Mr. Right Now, because they're so wrapped up in seeking Mr. Right. Ladies, I am sure you've realized that Mr. Right is not around the corner, nor is he going to knock on you're door in a suit of shining amour....

I would love to see Susan Sarandon in a movie with Johnny Depp? They made a movie with Sean Connery he was 69 when he made the movie Entrappement with a very young Catherine Zeta Jones....who was 30!

When will people stop the stigma? Why is every older woman referred to as Mrs. Robinson?

Something else that I should mention.....a younger man is great for one's ego. Being appreciated as a woman for all that you are and all that you've learned and all that you've become, that's what many younger men will be attracted to.

Always keeping things in perspective, I didn't go into any of dates thinking about getting into a serious relationship, but simply begin being open to encountering younger men and to relish in a truly indulgent experience.

Biggest MYTH!

He will leave you for a younger woman. Answer: relationship fell apart, or he wanted kids....older woman did not!

Younger vs. Older:

• Younger men won't expect you to cook/clean and take care of them, older men do! They're not all wrapped up in the conforming rules older men have....they appreciate stronger, passionate women....


• Men who grew up with the women's movement tend to be less possessive. There's no conforming to some rigid idea of what a woman should be, and younger men don't treat you like a trophy or an acquisition.


• Younger men won't gasp at the use of condoms; many older men get "offended" when you mention the word "condom" (they figure you should "trust" them) Ladies, when it comes to you're well being, never don't fall for the old line "I've only been with...."


• Younger men are open to new experiences; many older men are too set in their ways.

Convinced? Ok, all I ask is that you start smiling with younger men and see the response, if nothing else; the smile they give you back will elevate your morale.

Women dating younger men said they appreciated the strength, humor, openness, youth, and passion of their partners. What do the men get? The experience, mystique of the older woman, her appeal to younger men was based not just on chemistry but on "the luxury of having a finished person. Women are taking care of themselves and looking for men who can keep up with them. That often points to younger men.

There will always be whispered innuendos about being a "Mrs. Robinson." And quite surprising insensitive comments from acquaintances, but you know? They're envious that you're enjoying and reveling in going where they'd love to and haven't....
