When most people think about counseling they often assume that the counselor is going to help them get in touch with their feelings. The belief being that the more in touch with your feelings you are the better your life will be. In many cases that is often true but let me tell you where it is not.

When it comes to feelings it is true that what you feel is neither right or wrong, it is simply how you feel. The analogy I often use is when someone is hungry. It would be silly to tell someone that they shouldn't feel hungry because if you're hungry- you're hungry.

Now when we talk about relationships, feelings get a little more tricky for when a man enters a woman's life she doesn't just feel - she FEELS. Everything is exaggerated. She wants to be with him constantly, she thinks about him often and she is keenly aware of when he is being sweet and when he is acting rude (or indifferent).

What many don't realize is that what you feel is only 1/2 of the equation in regards to how those feelings affect you. The other half is how you interpret those feelings and this causes more women problems in their romantic life. When you feel the most intensely about a man that is often the moment when you are at your least intuitive.

But how can this be? Because intuition is based on knowledge more than it is feelings. The more knowledge you have about a person the more you likely you are to be able to accurately interpret their motivation behind their behavior. Have you (or anyone you know) ever seen a girlfriend who knew a particular man was dishonest or unfaithful and they still chose to date them? The reason for their decision was probably because they felt a "connection," and that feeling told them that in spite of what they knew he would be good to them. They just had an intuitive feeling about it and if anyone disagreed with them, then the problem is everyone else simply didn't understand.

It isn't that their feelings are wrong. In fact, I'm quite certain that there are many wonderful qualities about such a man, but they are making assumptions simply based on their intensity of feelings. They are exaggerating the importance of what they feel and minimizing the significance of their lack of knowledge about his character. The result is often a relationship that ends abruptly and a plea for help in getting him back.

If you've experienced this then the good news is you can learn how to use your intuition to tell whether a man will be good to you or not. For years I've been showing women how to put their heart first and attract a wonderful man into their life. I've never promised it was easy, but I will say to you that it is always powerful.
