My best friend in high school is the absolute example of being picky. To this day I personally have never met anyone more picky than her. She refused to lower her standards, even if it meant never meeting Mr. Right and ending up old and alone. She knew exactly what she wanted in her future husband. No one besides her believed that this man could possibly exist. After 10 years of actively searching and meeting many great men who always fell just short of her requirements, she finally met her Mr. Right. Within a year of dating they were married. For the past 10 years of her marriage she has been living the life she has always wanted and continues to have a blissful relationship. Just think how life would have turned out so differently for her if she had listened to everyone who told her to settle. This could be you. What is the scarier thought?
