Is your exercise turning you into a man?
If we exercise like a man, we will not only end up looking like one, but also become more masculine in our energy. Some female celebrities have gone down this route already. Exercising in a masculine way can have negative effects on our health, happiness and especially our intimate relationships. Most of us make no distinction between male or female ways to exercise, but not all exercises are suitable for women in the long term. This is a little known truth. We are told to go to the gym, lift weights, go on the treadmill etc. and few of us understand that although this might be a good idea for men, it can be detrimental to our feminine health, despite us looking more toned. The easiest way to determine if an exercise is supporting your feminine health and radiance is to check in with yourself, and see how much you are actually enjoying it. Generally women tend to get bored quickly with repetitive task like exercises, for example: doing a certain amount of jumps, sit-ups etc. and following the same routine every time. We feel we have to "work out", but what we really need is to "play out" and be spontaneous and free flowing in our exercise. One of the best ways of feminine exercise is belly dancing and all free-style dance classes. This does not include an aerobic dance class, where a lot of us can be more stressed in trying to follow a set-routine correctly than enjoying the class. Yoga, Tai-Chi and Chi Gung are all good ways of keeping the bodies energy free flowing. But even with those types of exercise we should only do them if we truly enjoy them, and not "push ourself" to attend a class as a discipline. It is better to go for a brisk walk in beautiful surroundings or learn to rollerskating again with your kids, if it makes you feel happy and alive. My personal female exercise favorites are making love, jump-dancing to great music on my rebounder, going for slow jogs in the park and rollerskating with my 8 year old daughter. I also use Family Yoga, Belly dancing and African Healing Dance CDs at home. Don't "just do it". But "do it your way!" With love and highest regards from Susanne
