Body Language Attraction: Is His Posture Showing Attraction?
A man's posture can tell you so much about how they feel about you once you start interpreting the body language signals he's sending out properly. When men are attracted to a woman they will unconsciously do things to show off their body and to make them look as masculine and fit as possible. It's the same as a peacock showing off his tail feathers or a bull elk displaying his huge antlers. What they are doing is saying "hey look at me, I'm a healthy, fit male and a prime candidate for mating. Humans do the same, we naturally try to display ourselves as a good candidate for mating when we see someone that entices us. If a man's attracted to you he will stand more upright with his shoulders back and his chest out in an effort to make himself appear bigger and more masculine. When people are attracted to someone they instinctively align their bodies towards that person, however if he has his arms crossed it may be a sign of aggression not attraction. If he's attracted to you he will have an open position rather than a closed one, so as long as he's facing you with an open body position you can take that as a good sign. He may remove any barriers between you. For example he might move his drink slightly to the side, or if there's a table between you he might move to a closer position Hooking his thumbs in his belt or pants pockets is another common gesture. The speculation is that he does this to get you to place your attention on his genitals. What ever the reason is, he isn't conscious of it, he just does it to try to create attraction. Finally when he agrees with what you are saying he will lean towards you and if he's in disagreement he will lean back away from you, maybe even cross his arms. Of course no man is likely to do all these at the same time, but the more of them he displays for you the bigger the indications are that he's warming towards you.
