The Beauty Of Optimism
It has been said that beauty is not real, but only exists in perception. How we perceive ourselves is how others will see us. An exquisite face, an enigmatic smile, an enticing gaze, a body "to die for" is how we describe one's "beauty". And yet people always say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". How often have we heard, "there's just something about her" or "I can't put my finger on it, when she walks in a room it just lights up". A positive attitude, confidence, and charm go a very long way and it is what we think of as "optimism". To combine the two is pure magic! For some this comes naturally, for others it can be learned. Optimists live longer, enjoy better health and sex (overcome disease) do better in relationships and at work. An optimist sees a situation from a positive angle, views it as a learning experience rather than a negative obstacle to overcome. Sophia Loren once said, "Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical". The beauty of optimism begins within ourselves, thus, it is a combination of a positive attitude and how we look. By taking an honest look at ourselves is the best way to evaluate where we are and where we want to go; this is the beginning of the journey to "optimistic beauty". Some key questions and tips/suggestions to keep in mind.
You're life is not a "dress rehearsal". Be the "best you can be" and indulge in the best possible life and live it with passion and fire! How you think and feel is emanated outward. It takes time, effort and perseverance and can be attained: start today! YOU are worth it!
